What is Peer Mentoring?

We provide trained Peer Mentors who work with individuals (mentees) to help them along their journey.

Peer Mentors are individuals who have a spinal cord injury and assist others like them to achieve their goals.

Peer Mentors listen and provide support, take part in solving problems that come with living with SCI, and share their knowledge of community resources.

Peer Mentors must be individuals living with a spinal cord injury, complete an application and provide three character references.

All Peer Mentors must successfully complete a fingerprint and background check. Peer Mentors must attend the Peer Mentor Training class.
